One of the areas I’ve expanded into over the last thirteen years is working with family foundations. It combines my love of helping people tell their family stories with the mission of capturing these stories so that family values and donor intent remain intact.
I’ve been fortunate to work with Kelly Medinger, the Executive Director of the Knott Foundation, over the last few years. We not only created an impactful legacy video for their foundation, but since that time have presented at the National Forum on Family Philanthropy (NCFP), published a journal article in The Foundation Review, and presented on an NCFP webinar, all about the importance of capturing stories for family foundations. It’s been a treat to share my knowledge and impress upon foundation board members the importance of this work.
