Surviving Segregation

Moving when you’re a teenager is never easy, but moving from the North to the South in the early 1950s for this African American girl was much more than she bargained for. Judith Dawson tells her story of being a teenaged girl in Birmingham, Alabama during the height of segregation.  She shares in her beautiful way how she chose to handle the situations that presented themselves to her.
