When Family Memories Aren’t Happy

  • Working with DMB Pictures was an excellent experience. The Jewish Coalition Against Domestic Abuse had never created a video before and I was not sure of how the process would go. After each call or meeting with Debbie, I had a clear idea of what I needed to get from my team to enable them to move forward.

Domestic abuse is a tough topic. We wanted a video that achieved a balance between raising awareness about the prevalence of abuse and instilling viewers with a sense of hope. We also wanted a survivor to share her story. Due to confidentiality, we needed her face to be in the shadows and her voice to be altered. DMB Pictures made it all happen. They took the time to get to know us, learn our language and as a result, the video achieved the balance. We have received extremely positive feedback about the video from board members, donors and our colleagues in the field. Their professionalism and easy going manner made them a joy to work with.
